Do not freeze a January day into the list

Winter air in the north is not a permanent rank against a city.

Beijing in January can be cold and hazy. Beijing in May is a different visit. Aitgeo does not give cities an air-quality score, because a score would pretend the month did not matter.

If you have asthma or you hate cold, that is a reason to prefer the south in winter. It is your constraint, stated on this note, not a reordering of the first-trip list for everyone.
